Community centres, child services, multicultural organisations and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community groups do extraordinary work, often without a health expert on the team.
That’s where we come in.
We sit alongside you, listen deeply, and help shape your programs so they’re grounded in evidence, fit your community and stand up to funders.
Our work is highly personalised. Every piece of work starts with what you’re trying to do and who you’re doing it for.
How we work
Every engagement starts with listening. Before we advise, we sit with your team and the people you serve.
From there we work backwards from what you're seeing to the causes underneath it, then forwards to what would create the desired impact.

Xstitch is a for-purpose organisation*
*What does this mean?
We're driven by mission and values traditionally aligned with the social sector (like supporting marginalised communities). There are no shareholders, so any surplus goes back into the work. This lets us subsidise smaller organisations for the same engagement.
This emerging model aligns with healthcare's shift toward community autonomy and innovative workforce practices. We publish our prices, and we've never had to shape a program to suit a funder's priorities instead of a community's.
Xstitch is incorporated as a not-for-profit, and certified as a social enterprise by Social Traders.
